Slapstick Saturday

The Slapstick Saturday is the annual highlight of the Dutch Silent Film Festival. This full-length film program is a tribute to the greatest slapstick stars of the silent film era. Enjoy this unique experience of film, humor and live music.
This year’s spotlight is on two nearly forgotten comedy duos: Buster Keaton and Fatty Arbuckle in THE BELL BOY (1918) and Anita Garvin and Marion Byron in A PAIR OF TIGHTS (1929).
This evening’s main feature is a rarely seen film from one of history’s greatest comedy makers: Harold Lloyd in HOT WATER (1924). It is the only film in which Lloyd ever played a married man. Get ready for a crazy ride full of stunts, chases, mothers-in-law rising from the dead and, of course, an ingenious finale!
